Carbon Fibre laminates have been designed to strengthen structural elements post construction. Available in strips, they can be applied to beams, bridges, floors, walls and columns to give additional load capacity to the original specification or repair bearing capacity where it has been decreased due to corrosion, fire or other damage.
Structural elements can be of concrete, steel or wood. Laminates can be applied in either uni- or multidirections depending on the application. In some cases, bolting of the laminates to the structure will be advantageous.
